Urban documentary photography — raw intersections, found moments, and the people and places that make cities real.
I'm Eli Espiritu — a San Diego-based street photographer. I carry a camera everywhere, because that's the only way to catch what the city actually looks like: unposed, unlit, and unaware.
My work is about the in-between — the alley behind the building, the person waiting at the corner, the wall that's half-covered in paint and half-covered in time. I'm drawn to urban spaces the way other people are drawn to nature: for the wildness in them.
I shoot documentary and commercial work and I'm always open to projects that put me somewhere I haven't been yet. The street is the studio. Everything else is just logistics.
Open for editorial, documentary, and commercial projects. Let's go somewhere interesting.
